ANISE DROP COOKIES


1 tbs. anise extract or sub vanilla or almond
4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
8 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. milk
2 sticks margarine, melted and cooled
4 eggs

Mix sugar and cooled margarine in large bowl
using a wooden spoon.
Add milk and anise extract and mix until well blended.
Gradually add flour and baking powder.
Continue to mix until well blended.
Grease and flour cookie sheets.
Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
Bake at 350F for 15 20 minutes.
Allow to cool for 30 minutes.
Frost with icing glaze and sprinkle
with rainbow-colored jimmies.

Icing glaze: mix confectioner's sugar with
a small amount of milk.
Add 1 teaspoon anise extract.
Continue to add milk or sugar until
you obtain the right consistency for a glaze.
