2 c. self rising cornmeal
1 - 1 1/4 c. milk
4 tbs. melted shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. cooked, crumbled bacon
2 tbs. chopped green pepper
Put cornmeal in bowl; add milk, shortening and eggs; mix well.
Stir in bacon and green pepper and stir just to blend. Do not beat.
Spoon mixture into 12 greased muffin cups, filling 2/3 full.
Bake at 450° for about 20 min. 12 muffins.
