Baked Chocolate Custard


2 c. milk
1/2 c. semisweet chocolate pieces
3 slightly beaten eggs
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla

In saucepan, combine milk and chocolate pieces;
stir over low heat until chocolate melts. Cool slightly.
In mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar, vanilla and 1/8 tsp. salt;
gradually stir in chocolate mixture.
Pour into 6 (5 oz) custard cups; set in shallow pan on oven rack.
Pour hot water into pan to depth of 1". Bake in 325, 40-45 min.,
or until knife inserted just off center comes out clean.
Invert into serving dishes; garnish with whipped cream.
