Baked Peaches and Sausage


1 lb. mild bulk pork sausage
1 (29 oz) can peach halves
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves

Cook sausage until browned,
stirring to crumble.
Drain well on paper towels,
and set aside.
Drain peach halves, reserving 1/4 c. juice.
Place peaches, cut side up,
in a well-greased 10x6x2" glass baking dish;
add reserved juice.
Combine brown sugar and spices,
stirring well; sprinkle over peach halves.
Bake at 450° for 15 min.;
remove from oven, and sprinkle
cooked sausage evenly over top.
Return to oven, and bake 15 min.
Yield: 6 servings.
