Banana Cherry Bread

1 stick margarine
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 mashed ripe bananas
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. flour
1 t. salt
1/2 t. soda
1/3 c. maraschino cherries
1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Cream margarine until fluffy.
Add sugar, beat well and add eggs,
one at a time; beating well after each addition.
Add bananas, beating well.
Dredge raisins and nuts in 1 cup of flour.
Sift salt and soda with 1 cup of flour.
Add to butter mixture.
Add raisins, nuts, cherries and vanilla to mixture.
Pour into a loaf pan.
Bake until a straw tests clean.
