Barbara Tyson's Ham Quiche

1 9" deep pie shell or 2 8" prepared frozen shells 1 1/2 c. onion, chopped 3 tbs. butter 1 c. diced ham 1 c. Swiss Cheese, grated 1 1/2 c. heavy cream 1/2 c. milk 3 eggs 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg salt and pepper to taste
Saute onions in butter until soft. Add ham to onions.
