Blueberry Breakfast Bread


Bread:
1 (1 lb.) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. granulated sugar, divided
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. fresh OR frozen blueberries
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter

Glaze:
2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tbs. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Bread:

On a lightly floured surface, roll thawed dough out to fit
a greased 9x13" pan. In a bowl, beat cream cheese
with 1/2 c. granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla. Spread over dough.
Sprinkle with blueberries.

In a small bowl, stir flour with remaining granulated sugar.
Cut in butter. Sprinkle over blueberries.
Let rise in a warm place until puffy, about 30 min.
Preheat oven to 375F.
Bake bread until golden brown, 30-40 min.
Remove from oven and let cool. Makes 12 servings.

Glaze:

In a bowl, mix conf. sugar, milk and vanilla.
Drizzle over bread.
