3 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 teaspoon vanilla
Boil sugar, water and baking powder until they spin a thread.
Pour slowly over the egg whites, beating constantly.
Add the lemon juice and vanilla. Mix well.
