1 1/4 c. water 1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. bourbon whiskey 2 tbs. cornstarch 2 tbs. butter
In 1 qt. saucepan, bring water and sugar to boil over medium heat.
Meanwhile, mix bourbon with cornstarch;
stir into sugar mixture and continue to cook until thickened,
about 2 min. Stir in butter. Makes about 1 1/2 c.
