Baking Powder Crust


1 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup solid shortening
4 to 5 tbsp milk

Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt
in small mixing bowl. Cut in shortening
with pastry blender or fork. Stir in milk
one tbsp at a time with fork until dough pulls
away from sides of bowl.

Form into smooth ball and roll out on floured board
or waxed paper until 1/8 inch thick.
Place in 10 inch glass pie plate.
Trim and flute edge. Prick bottom and sides
well with tines of fork. Cover with paper towel.

Cook in microwave on full power for 3-4 minutes
or until dough is cooked but still moist.
Cool. Fill with desired filling.
