Caramel Damson Pie


1 c. EACH: butter, sugar,
damson preserves
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add well beaten eggs, damson preserves
and vanilla. Mix thoroughly;
pour into two unbaked 9" pastry shells.
Bake at 350F until firm, about 40 min.
Cool before serving. They freeze well.
