Chilled Shrimp Soup


1 (16 oz) pkg. frozen shelled and
deveined shrimp
1 qt. Buttermilk
1/2 c. milk
1 med. cucumber, peeled and diced
2 tbs. chipped chives
1 tbs. sugar
2 3/4 tsp. Salt
1/4-1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce

Early in Day:
Cook shrimp as label directs; drain and chop.
Place shrimp in medium bowl; cover and refrigerate.

Just Before Serving:
Into large soup tureen, stir shrimp with remaining
ingredients until well mixed.
Makes 7 c. or 8 first-course servings.
