Chocolate French Toast


4 eggs
4 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
16 slices white bread or egg bread
8 ounces chocolate bar
2 tablespoons butter
In a shallow pie plate, whisk together the eggs,
milk, vanilla and salt. Place a 2 ounce piece
of chocolate in between two slices of bread.
With a 4 inch cookie cutter, trim bread and
pinch ends together. Soak bread in egg mixture
until thoroughly saturated but not falling apart.
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon butter.
Brown on both sides and chocolate melts.
Yield: 4 servings
