Citron Pie

12 egg yolks
1/2 lb. butter
1 lb. sugar
1/2 lb. citron
PUT egg yolks in bowl and set in hot water, beating constantly.
Add butter to yolks, stirring constantly until it melts.
Add sugar stirring constantly.
Cut citron in very thin slices or cut up fine as for fruitcake and add to the mixture.
Put in unbaked pastry. Bake in moderate oven. Makes 3 pies.
