Clam Quiche


Use two 9" pie shells.
Prick lightly, bake 8 min. in a 400F oven.
Remove shells and let them reach room temperature.
Reduce oven heat to 325F.

Combine 1/2 c. bacon bits, 1 (15 oz) can Snow's Clam Chowder
(no other brand will work), 4 eggs, slightly beaten,
1/4 c. dried onion (soaked in water), 1/2 c. sour cream,
2 tsp. parsley flakes and 1/4 tsp. Pepper.
Pour 2/3 into each pie shell, cover with
American cheese slices (do not overlap slices).

Top with remaining mixture (be sure to cover all cheese
otherwise it turns dark). Bake 50-55 min. (or until firm).
Stand 20 min. before serving.
