Coney Island Hot Dog Sauce 5


2 Tbsp. cooking oil
1/2 Lb. ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
1 Can tomato paste, (6 oz.)
1 1/2 C. water
3 tbs. vinegar
1/4 C. pickle relish
1 Tsp. salt
2 Tsp. prepared mustard
1 Tsp. chili powder
1/4 Tsp. pepper
1 Dash cayenne

Brown meat and onion in oil.
Stir in tomato paste, water, vinegar,
pickle relish and salt.
Simmer for 25 minutes.
Blend in seasonings.
Simmer for 5 minutes longer.
Makes enough for 1 dozen hot dogs.
