Cream Poundcake


3 c. flour
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
2 sticks butter
1/2 pt. whipping cream

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
Add sifted flour alternately with cream. Beat well.
Pour into greased tube pan. Place in COLD oven.
Turn oven to 325F and bake for 1 hour 30 min.
(depending on how fast your oven is--check after 1 hour).
No baking powder.
