Dodie's Refrigerator Slaw

1 c. EACH: vinegar, sugar
3/4 c. oil
1 tsp. EACH: celery seeds, dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 large head cabbage, shredded
2 med. onions, very thinly sliced
In a medium saucepan, combine vinegar, sugar,
oil, celery seed, mustard and salt.
Bring to boil.
In a container with a tight-fitting lid,
alternate layers of cabbage and onions.
Pour hot dressing over vegetables,
cover and stirring occasionally,
refrigerate at least 24 hours before serving.
Serves 8-10.
