French Chocolate Sauce

2 1/2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, grated
1/2 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
dash salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 c. cream, whipped
Combine chocolate and water;
cook over direct heat for 4 min., stirring constantly.
Beat with mixer until smooth.
Add sugar, salt and vanilla;
cook 4 min. longer, stirring constantly. Cool.
Fold in whipped cream. Serve over ice cream. 1 pint.
