German Sweet Chocolate Cream Cheese Brownies


BROWNIE LAYER:
4 oz. German sweet chocolate
1/4 c. margarine
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional

CREAM CHEESE TOPPING:
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbs. all-purpose flour

Microwave chocolate and margarine in a large microwaveable bowl
on HIGH (100%) power 2 minutes or until margarine is melted.
Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
Stir sugar into melted chocolate.
Stir in eggs and vanilla until completely mixed.
Mix in flour until well blended. Stir in nuts.
Spread in an 8x8" pan. In same bowl, mix cream cheese,
sugar, egg and flour until smooth.
Spoon over brownie mixture; swirl with knife to marbelize.
Bake at 350F for 35 minutes or until a toothpick
inserted in center comes out almost clean.
Do not overbake. Cool in pan, cut into squares.
