Ham and Cheese Muffins


1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
1/3 c. rye flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 tbs. light brown sugar
1/3 c. finely chopped cooked ham
1/2 c. (2 oz) shredded Swiss cheese
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 c. milk
1/4 c. vegetable oil
3/4 tsp. spicy brown mustard
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 drops of hot sauce

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl;
stir in ham and cheese.
Make a well in center of mixture.
Combine egg and next 5 ingredients;
add to dry ingredients,
stirring just until moistened.
Spoon into greased muffin pans,
filling two-thirds full.
Bake at 400F for 22-25 min.
Remove from pans immediately.
Yield: 1 dozen.
