3 quarts water
1 quart vinegar
1/2 c. rock salt
3 lb. medium cucumbers, sliced 1/2" thick
1/2 tsp. allum
2 tbs. dill seed
2 tsp. pickling spice
Mix everything except cucumbers and
bring to boil. Wash cucumbers and pack
in sterile jars, add 2-3 garlic buds to each jar.
Pour mixture in each jar, seal and
process in boiling water bath for 15 min.
Let stand 6 weeks before opening.
Yield: 6 pints.
