Honey Maple Walnut Spread


1 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1/4 c. water
1 tbs. margarine
1 tsp. maple flavoring
1/2 tsp. black walnut extract
1/2 c. honey
1 c. finely-chopped walnuts

In a 2-qt. glass measure, combine sugar and water.
Stirring midway through cooking, microwave on HIGH 5 min.
Stir in margarine, maple flavoring and black walnut extract.
Blend in honey. Thoroughly stirring, blend in nuts.
Pour into jars; screw on lids. Makes 4 (4 oz.) jars.

Serve on toasted English muffins or
use as a glaze for pork or poultry.
