Hot German Apple Rolls


1 (1 lb. 5 oz) can apple pie filling
2 tbs. light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
12 brown and serve fan tan dinner rolls

Combine pie filing, brown sugar and cinnamon.
Cut 1/2" deep slits in indentations of each roll.
Place a small amount of apple mixture
in each separation, being careful
not to pull rolls entirely apart.
Sprinkle streusel topping over each roll.
Bake at 400F for 10-12 min.
or until golden brown. Yield: 12.
Streusel Topping:
2 tbs. all-purpose flour
2 tbs. light brown sugar
¼ tsp. Ground cinnamon
1 tbs. butter

Combine flour, sugar and cinnamon.
Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle topping over each roll.
Yield: 12 rolls.
