Hot Mulled Cider


4 qt. apple cider or juice
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbs. grated orange peel
1 tsp. whole allspice
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. whole cloves
1/4 c. red cinnamon candies

Put ingredients in saucepan; cover.
Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer for half-hour.
Strain out spices.
Serve at once (or reheat) to 8.
Use cinnamon-stick stirrers.
