June's Aunt Fan's Recipe


1 orange, cut into thin slices
1 lemon, cut into thin slices
Approximately 1/4 lb white rock candy
(the kind on the string)
Approximately 1/2 c. golden blossom honey
Jim Beam Bourbon

Put the orange, lemon, rock candy and honey in a clean,
one quart glass, wide mouth jar.
Pour enough bourbon over the mixture
to cover everything (approximately 2 c.).
Then close the jar and shake it up to help dissolve the honey.
Let it sit in the fridge for about 2 weeks to mellow.
Drink in small sherry glasses, it's quite potent,
and Aunt Fan always reminded us it should be sipped.
