Mary L's English Trifle


2 pkg. lady fingers
2 pkg. frozen raspberries, thawed
Amaretto, enough to saturate (about 1 c.)
2 small pkg. sliced almonds, lightly toasted
2 small pkg. vanilla instant pudding
1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped

Drain raspberries and save juice.
Prepare vanilla pudding according to package directions.
In a large glass bowl, layer the ingredients as follows:
lady fingers
amaretto
sliced almonds
raspberry juice
raspberries
vanilla pudding
p> Repeat. The more layers, the better.
It depends on the size of your bowl.
Cover with plastic, wrap and let it blend,
refrigerated, for at least four hours.

Just before serving, top with whipped cream
and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
