New York Cheesecake Brownies


CAKE:
3 1/2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
10 tbs. unsalted butter
1 c. sugar
3 whole large eggs
1/2 c. all purpose flour

CHEESECAKE:
1 lb. cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
1 whole large egg
1 large egg yolk
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice

Preheat oven to 300F. Prepare a 9" square baking pan.
Melt chocolate and butter together in top of a double boiler.
Let mixture cool for 5 minutes.
Place sugar and eggs in a medium sized bowl
and beat until pale yellow.
Add flour and mix until combined.
Add cooled chocolate mixture and blend until well mixed.
Spread batter evenly in prepared pan
and place in freezer for 10 mins.

Cheesecake:
Place all ingredients in a food processor
and process until smooth.
Remove pan from freezer and carefully spoon cheesecake
mixture over the brownie layer and spread evenly over base.

Bake on the center rack of the oven until the
top is set and centre is just about level with edges,
approximately 1hr 10 mins 10. Cool in pan
for 30 minutes using a sharp knife dipped in hot water.
