Oyster Stew

1/2 c. butter
2 pt. fresh oysters
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 pt. cream
1 qt. milk
pepper to taste
Melt butter in skillet; add oysters.
Cook over low heat for 10 min.
Combine oysters and butter with other ingredients
in large saucepan. Simmer, stirring occasionally,
for 20 min. Reheat before serving.
