Parmesan Bread


1/2 (15" long) loaf Italian bread
2 tbs. butter, softened
3 tbs. grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat broiler if manufacturer directs.
With serrated knife,
cut bread diagonally into 1" thick slices.
Spread butter on both sides of bread slices.
Place buttered bread slices
on rack in broiling pan;
sprinkle with 1/2 of Parmesan cheese.

Broil bread slices 1-2 min. until golden brown.
With metal spatula, turn bread slices;
sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese;
continue broiling until golden brown.
Makes 4 servings.
