Peanut Butter Ribbon Bars


FILLING:
1 (3 oz). pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. peanut butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

BARS:
1 pkg. {21 1/2 oz.} fudge
brownie mix
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. oil
1 egg

GLAZE:
1 oz. semi-sweet chocolate,
cut into pieces
2 tsp. shortening

Heat oven to 350F.
Generously grease bottom of
13 x 9" pan. In small bowl,
combine all filling ingredients;
beat at medium speed until smooth;
set aside. In large bowl,
combine all bar ingredients;
beat 50 strokes with spoon.
Spread half of the batter in greased pan.
Drop filling by tablespoons over batter.
Spoon remaining batter over filling.
Marble by pulling knife through
batter in wide curves. Bake for
30-35 minutes, or until set.
In small saucepan over low heat,
melt chocolate and shortening,
stirring constantly. Drizzle glaze over bars.
Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Cut into bars. Store in refrigerator.
YIELD: 36 bars
