Peanut Butter Cookies

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
1 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
3 c. all purpose flour
¾ tsp. Soda
Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add peanut butter and vanilla; blend well.
Add flour and soda; mix until well blended.
Shape dough into balls about 1" in diameter.
Place on greased cookie sheet and flatten with a fork.
Bake at 350F or 10-12 min. Yield: 6 doz.
