Pecan Crispies


1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
2 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. pecans, chopped
2 1/2 c. sifted enriched flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Thoroughly cream shortening butter and sugar;
add eggs, beat well.
Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture.
Add nuts.
Drop from teaspoon about 2" apart onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake in moderate oven at 350°, 12-15 min.
Makes 3 dozen.
