Set aside 2/3 c. of cake mix.
Combine remaining cake mix,
butter and 1 egg in a large mixing bowl;
mix with fork until crumbly.
Press crumbs in a greased
13x9x3" baking dish.
Bake at 350F for 15-20 min.,
or until light golden brown.

Combine reserved cake mix, 3 eggs,
brown sugar, corn syrup and
vanilla in a mixing bowl. Beat at
medium speed of electric mixer 1-2 min.
Pour over crust and sprinkle with the pecans.
Bake at 350F for 30-35 min.
Cool. Cut into bars.
This will make 3-4 dozen bars.
