3/4 c. butter
3 eggs
1 lb. seeded raisins
2 heaping tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. Nutmeg
1/ tsp. Cinnamon
1 c. EACH: sugar, milk
pinch of salt
heaping pinch of flour
Combine eggs, sugar and milk in a saucepan.
Sift flour and salt and add to liquid ingredients in pan.
Boil for several minutes. Add nutmeg and cinnamon.
Then add butter and stir well as the butter melts.
Add raisins that have been chopped and floured.
Pour pudding into a greased lined pan.
Tie cloth over pan and steam for three hours.
Use a stovepipe pan. Serve hot with hard sauce.
Sauce:
1 c. butter
1 c. of cream
1 1/2 c. sugar
Cream butter lightly, add sugar and
cream alternately. Mix well together.
Flavor to suit taste.
