Sandwich Loaf

1 loaf Italian bread, 14" long
2 tbs. butter, melted
2 tsp. prepared mustard
1 small tomato, sliced
6 slices EACH: process cheddar
cheese, cooked ham
3 green pepper rings, halved
Cut bread diagonally into 12 equal pieces,
being careful not to slice through bottom crust.
In small bowl, blend butter and mustard,
and spread inside every other bread cut.
In first buttered cut, place folded-over
cheese slice, then ham slice,
half tomato slice and green pepper piece;
repeat in every other cut.
Wrap loaf in foil and grill over hot coals
for 20 min. or until cheese is melted
and bread heated through.
Slice bread between fillings to make
6 sandwiches. Makes 6.
