3 1/4 fifths sauterne
2 c. sugar
2 c. lemon juice (about 8 lemons)
1 c. captain apple jack brandy
1 qt. seltzer water
Make syrup with sugar and 1/2 c. water.
Mix all ingredients and allow to rest or ripen for about an hour.
Then serve in tall glasses half filled with shaved ice
and decorated with fruit and mint sprigs or serve in punch bowl
with fruit frozen into ice ring.
Make 4-5 days in advance without sparkling water. Serves 40.
