1 c. butter softened to room temperature
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
2 c. all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Preheat the oven to 375ºF.
Wish a wooden spoon cream together the butter
And confectioners sugar until light and fluffy.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt.
Gradually add the flour, baking powder and salt.
Gradually add this flour mixture to the butter
and sugar until well blended.
Divide the batter into three parts and roll out between
sheets of waxed paper to a thickness of ¼".
Refrigerate for one hour, then cut the chilled dough
into squares with a knife or use a cookie cutter.
Note: This dough must be chilled before cutting or
it will be difficult to cut, separate and place on baking sheet.
Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet until
lightly browned or about 18 minutes.
