Shrimp Tempura


2 small eggs (or 1 large)
1 c. milk
1 1/8 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
few drops hot sauce
2 tsp. baking powder
salad oil
3 lbs. large shrimp, peeled
but tails left intact
commercial sweet and sour sauce

Beat eggs in small mixing bowl;
stir in milk and flour, salt and hot sauce;
beat until blended. Add baking powder,
and mix well. Dip shrimp into batter
and fry in hot oil until golden brown,
turning once. Drain on absorbent paper.
Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce.
