Southern Buttermilk Pie


2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
2 1/2 tbs. flour
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 unbaked pie shell

Cream sugar and butter together;
add flour and then last three ingredients; mix thoroughly.
Pour into unbaked pie shell;
bake at 425F for 10 min.;
reduce heat to 350F
and bake for an additional 30 min.
Top will be a dark golden brown when done.
