Suzanne's Apple Crumb Pie


4 large tart apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. butter
1 homemade or frozen 9" deep pie shell

Pare apples; cut in eighths and
arrange in 9" pastry-lined pan.
Sprinkle with 1/2 c. sugar mixed with cinnamon.
Sift remaining 1/2 c. sugar with flour;
cut in butter until crumbly.
Sprinkle over apples.
Bake at 450°, 10 min., then at 350° about
40 min.; or until apples are tender
