Mrs. Trevvett's Cheese Biscuits


1 stick butter
2 c. grated cheese (packed lightly)
1 c. flour (sift first, then
later with salt and pepper)
1 pinch salt (or 1/4-12 tsp)
1/2 tsp. red pepper
1-2 tsp. ice water

Mix together, then divide into 4 parts.
Chill overnight in the refrigerator.
Later roll out and cut with small cutter.
(I never add the ice water as they are
already hard enough to roll out).
Place a nut on top.
