Tuna Casserole Supreme


1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
1 c. chopped celery
8 tbs. butter, divided
1 can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
1/2 c. milk
1 (8 oz0 can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 tsp. Salt
1 c. chopped green pimento-stuffed olives
1 (6.5 oz) can oil packed tuna, drained and flaked
1 c. crushed corn flakes
1/2 c. slivered almonds

Preheat oven to 400F.
In a large saucepan, saute onion, pepper and
celery in 4 tbs. butter. Stir in soup and milk,
and cook over low heat 10-12 min.
Add mushrooms, salt, olives and tuna.
Pour into a 2 qt. casserole dish.
Melt 4 tbs. butter; stir in corn flakes and
almonds. Spread on top of casserole.
Bake, uncovered, 25 min.
Makes 6-8 servings.
