Vanilla Fudge


1 1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup whole milk
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 cup vanilla chips
1 tsp real vanilla extract
1/2 to 1 cup dried cherries

8" pan lined with foil and greased.
Mix sugar and milk in a 3 qt. saucepan.
Add butter and bring to a boil over
medium heat, boiling vigorously,
for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add vanilla chips and vanilla and stir.
Then whisk until chips melt and
becomes smooth. Add cherries.
Spread in prepared pan.
Refrigerate 6 hours until set.
