1 orange
10 whole cloves
2 bottles (4/5 qt each) claret
2" stick of cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
Cut orange in half; stud each half with 5 cloves.
In saucepan, combine with claret, cinnamon and sugar.
Cover; simmer about 15 min. Serve hot.
Float more oranges studded with cloves atop punch, if desired.
Makes 7 cups.
