Whipped Cream Frosting


1/2 c. milk
2 tbs. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. solid vegetable shortening
1/4 c. butter
2 c. conf. sugar

Bring the milk, flour and salt to a boil,
making sure it is stirred constantly and kept smooth.
Set aside.
Mix the shortening, butter and
confectioners' sugar, and beat 4 minutes
with electric mixer.
Then add the cooled mixture and
beat 4 minutes longer.
Flavor as desired.
Makes enough frosting for one cake.

For 12 servings, each serving contains
about 147 calories, 8g fat
(51% of calories from fat),
12 mg chol., 82mg solium.
