Mrs. Woodall's Spice Nuts

3 c. brown sugar 1 c. butter dash salt 2 eggs 1 tsp. cream of tartar in 3 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. cloves 2 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. soda in 2 tbs. hot water
Make stiff dough and roll in marbles.
